Leviticus 16-17

Chapter 16 gives us God’s way of atonement for the nation of Israel as a whole. A wonderful shadow of the coming Messiah. Jesus our High Priest that facilitated the sacrifice & forgiveness of our sins. I would encourage you to set & read through the book of Hebrews in light of this study.

Chapter 17 reminds us that we are not permitted to come to God in any way we see fit, we come to God His way & His way only! Salvation is non-negotiable.

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

There is no need for a blood sacrifice to atone for sin, when Jesus died on the cross, the veil in the Holy of Holies was torn in two, Jesus has made the payment in full for mankind to come into the presence of God.
