God sent His Son, Jesus into the world so that we can be saved. We need saving because our relationship with God was severed in the garden by the sin of man. We are all sinners and that sin in our lives separates us from God. There is no way for us to make the payment that must be made for our sin to restore that relationship. So God sent His Son to provide that payment. A sinless sacrifice. Jesus died on the cross to pay the debt that we could never pay because of our sin.  Now all we have to do is accept the forgiveness  offered for our sin and the gift of eternity by trusting in Jesus Christ.
